In the current issue of Parking trend International - EPA's Parking Data Essentials helping deliver smarter and more sustainable cities. 'For travelers to make travel choices that are both efficient and sustainable, they need access to reliable information on the mobility choices that are available to them. If they choose to travel by car for at least part of their journey they want to avoid congested roads, full car parks or cycling around searching for on-street parking (which causes environmental pollution and increased traffic). If they are an electrical vehicle user, they may need to find available EV charge options. In short, they are looking for a smooth and seamless journey from A to B. To achieve this requires a well-managed digital infrastructure that makes the necessary information available in a standard format.....' European Parking Association reposted this
Currently following the online General Assembly of ALICE, Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe (ETP LOGISTICS) while closing other tasks before the end of a challenging year. When it comes to its impressive growth in budget, membership and secretariat over the past 4 years, ALICE and its Secretary General Fernando Liesa remain an inspiration for my work with the European Parking Association ! Following a year of impressive growth ourselves (from 14 founding members to currently 73, while more than tripling our budget), I am sure next year will bring even more success, especially with the 21st European Parking Conference & Exhibition taking place on 17-18 September in Brussels (see www.epaconference.eu).

In the current issue of Parking Trend International magazine the ‘Reducing the heat on operators’ article by Sarah Juggins highlights EPA’s recently launched Fire Safety Advice Toolbox. “Modern media outlets have mined the habit of shaping the narrative to be the most sensational account of events possible in the hope of attracting large audiences. Unfortunately, an ability to stretch the truth often leaves the public misinformed, bewildered and, often, anxious….” Read the full article here https://lnkd.in/eyHs7ccq For a copy of the EPA Fire Safety Toolbox reach out to Pauline on [email protected] #EPA #FireSafety #EVs #CarParks #Parking

📢 The latest issue of Parking Trend International is out! 📰 December PTI edition highlights - 2025 EPA Awards launch and 2025 Conference update. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/ejfyjByy As we count down towards the end of the year, we’re excited to share the latest edition of our quarterly magazine Parking Trend International (PTI), which is now available on the revamped EPA website. The December issue takes us back to a very successful General Assembly last September in Brussels, which included elections for half of the EPA Board. This edition opens with a rather unusual, and emotional, editorial by former EPA Board Member, Jaime López de Aguilar, who recounts the recent flooding in the Valencia region and draws some valuable lessons from a parking sector perspective. 2025 will be a major year for EPA, with the 21st European Parking Conference & Exhibition set for 17-18 September in Brussels and the return of our biennial EPA Awards. While we are going to a new venue which will allow for even more networking opportunities and the sharing of best practices, the Conference and the Awards remain dedicated to showcasing innovation in smart parking management and the ways that the sector helps shape the future of sustainable urban mobility across Europe and beyond. As our aim is to reach record participation levels of 500 or more, we warmly invite you to visit our brand new 2025 Conference website to discover our exciting sponsorship and exhibition offer. While you will have to wait for the registrations to open in January, you can still submit your project or initiative for the 2025 EPA Awards – we certainly wish you the best of luck in obtaining one of the coveted “Oscars of the parking sector”! Our members have been very active this year throughout several of our Working Groups, and we are equally proud to highlight recent publications of the EPA Fire Safety Advice Toolbox and the groundbreaking Parking Data Essentials series - two must-read articles, which showcase the value of EPA as a platform for exchanging information and expertise on issues that are high on our members’ (and the EU regulators’) agendas. If you are not yet a member then we highly recommend you to study the information on EPA membership benefits and we also included another selection of our growing family of Corporate Members. Finally, as usual you can read about innovative products, best practices, background reports and upcoming industry events to keep you informed and engaged. The EPA leadership and secretariat wish you happy reading, a festive holiday season and a flowing start to the New Year! 🎅🎄❄️🍾✨
