Juventus FC to launch ESG Strategy In attendance of 180 stakeholders, Juventus Football Club launched its ESG Strategy on 17 December at the Allianz Stadium in Turin. Chief Executive Officer Maurizio Scanavino expressed the importance of the ESG alignment (Environment Social Governance) throughout the entire organisation. Greta Bodino, Chief People, Culture & Sustainability Officer shared the 6 pillars on ESG that are embedded in the organisation: 🌍Environment 1. Emissions in the corner: with self-generating renewable energy and promotion of sustainable mobility for its games 2. Assistant to circularity: with water reduction & recovering projects in the stadium and training centre 🤝Social 3. People first: with a focus on wellbeing of staff members and inspire for excellence 4. Sustainable global club: with partnerships on local city & regional level, like the partnership with “Save the children” 5. Fan centricity: with a boost on fan engagement and accessibility. Several new initiatives like guided dogs with blind people are implemented. 🏛️Governance 6. Sustainable leadership: with a regulatory framework on board level and the integration of the ESG strategy in the entire ecosystem of Juventus An interesting panel debate with Greta Bodino, Tiberio Daddi (Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna), Stefania Urso and Carla Chiarla (Magazzi OZ), Marco Tealdo (Juventus One) and Felice Fabrizio (People & Sustainability manager Juventus) gave further insights and best practices of the Juventus projects related to ESG. Some personal highlights that we took out of the event: 👉A top-down alignment (Board <> C-level <> Operations mgt) is a key to success to blend ESG throughout the organisation 👉Create concrete and tangible projects that are facilitated throughout different departments of the organisation 👉Foster internal communication about the progress of your strategy so everyone feels involved 👉“Walk the talk”: every day show how you contribute to your ESG strategy 👉Create KPI’s related to your ESG strategy Together with KPMG, GSES - Global Sustainable Enterprise System and Johan Cruijff ArenA, ESSMA offers 3 tracks on sustainability. A Beta group is currently formed to launch: 👉 Track 1: GSES System is a universal sustainability rating system for organisation across all sectors. It incorporates recognised frameworks and 550+ ecolabels to measure, compare and verify sustainability efforts with transparency. Track 1 provides the onboarding on the Green Event Standard reporting tool measuring sustainable impact of events, in cooperation with GSES 👉 Track 2: C-level program focusing on ESG strategy and CSRD, guided by KPMG 👉Track 3: S-level program focusing on operational integration, data mgt, stakeholder engagement and best practices, in cooperation with Johan Cruijff ArenA In case you wish to participate, please contact Dimitri Huygen at [email protected]. #Juventus #essmaSupport #Sustainablity
