📄 Earlier this month, Noelia Cantero, Director of EARLALL, highlighted the strategic role of the #SKYLAInterreg project during the Research and Innovation Working Groups of the Harnessing Talent Platform (HTP). The HTP is a platform dedicated to supporting regions in addressing demographic changes and counteracting the decline of tertiary-educated populations across the EU. By fostering knowledge exchange and guiding regional strategies, the platform ensures regions are equipped to attract, train, and retain talent. During the meeting, two initiatives under SKYLA showcasing its contributions to integrating vocational education and training (VET) into regional development were presented: 📌 Regional Skills Dublin, which supports local businesses in identifying and addressing workforce skills needs. 📌 Mind the Gap (Skåne Region, Sweden), which equips organisations with effective tools for training and recruitment success. 🌍 It's International Migrants Day! To recognise the incredible contributions and resilience of migrants worldwide, we want to highlight a key initiative we are involved in: the #SALAMInterreg project. SALAM supports public authorities in fast-tracking the sustainable inclusion of migrants into local labour markets. By harnessing their skills, capacities, and ambitions, the project develops targeted education, guidance, and learning opportunities, helping migrants thrive in their new communities. The project taps into the power of interregional collaboration, sharing best practices, and strengthening local policies to ensure that migrants are not only welcomed but empowered. Thanks to the collaboration of the SALAM's consortium, we are building pathways for a more socially cohesive and sustainable future. Curious to learn more?
