Please see our own founder member Daniel Long, talking about his time as a Cocoreado Ambassador. Our co-op operates utilizes a farmer-led model and aims to tackle issues related to water quality on farms and high input costs. By promoting the production of duckweed, we not only help farmers reduce their feed expenses but also enhance water quality on their farms. ✨ I am deeply thankful for the opportunity I had to participate in the COCOREADO project. This was my first experience of an EU Horizon project, initially as a team member with CEJA Young Farmers and later as an #ambassador. 👩🌾 Working with young people from all over Europe, all striving to create a more sustainable and fair food system, was incredibly inspiring. 🌍 This experience allowed me to grow and expand my horizons in terms of possibilities. I particularly enjoyed the multicultural environment and learning about various local initiatives across Europe. It also helped me identify key factors for successfully replicating initiatives in different contexts. 🙌 I am very grateful for this experience, the places I visited, the people I met, and the time I spent as an ambassador. 💚 A big thank to all the project team and all the ambassadors, to Alice Minichini and Alessia Musumarra who enabled me to get on board, to Ilze Mileiko for keeping the link between the ambassadors, to Daniel Grist for making me famous, to Marco Moretti for being my team mate since day one and Tessa Avermaete and Margo Heremans for the management! #Ambassadors4EUprojects #Fair4farmers #Cocoreado
