Op 19 oktober transformeerde de Stad Brussel Manneken Pis in een hersteller ter gelegenheid van de Internationale Repair Day. Dit gebeurde met een overall, gemaakt door het CiLAB Collective met gerecupereerde stoffen. Manneken Pis Réparateur staat symbool voor een economie die inzet op herstel met producten die kwaliteitsvol en herstelbaar ontworpen zijn, waar er laagdrempelige hersteldiensten voor zijn zodat een lange levensduur gegarandeerd wordt. Het initiatief werd genomen door Repair&Share in samenwerking met Repair Together. #repair #righttorepair #refashion

Klaar voor een samenwerking die circulariteit in beweging brengt? Met trots introduceren we MUCE x Auping in België! Samen met non-profitorganisatie MUCE brengen we de circulaire economie onder de aandacht in de rondreizende MUCE Modulair-tentoonstelling, die van 14 september tot 11 oktober door België trekt.   Als trotse MUCE Modulair-partner draagt Auping op meerdere manieren bij. Onze fabriek in Deventer vormde zo de voedingsbodem voor Studio Bogenna Ivana’s creatieve bijdrage aan de MUCE Modulair-tentoonstelling. In samenwerking met circulair textielcollectief CiLAB creëerde de Antwerpse designstudio kussens van restmaterialen uit onze Auping-fabriek. Daarnaast lichten we ook ons traject naar een afvalvrije matrassenindustrie toe. Zo hopen we bezoekers te inspireren om bewust na te denken over hoe we produceren en consumeren, en de impact hiervan op onze planeet. 😃 Still full of hope and joy after the first Open House of the House of Sustainable Transitions with the presentation of our book "Land of Hope". A collaboration between experts, pioneers and students creating together a new story for a sustainable world. With a systemic view we show in the book that a system change is necessary but that it is possible and that the islands of hope are already there. Julien Blondeau presented his chapter on the transition in the energy sector and Lise Vermeersch launced the new Ecotarian app, which shows how sustainable your food choice is and which magically can turn it in a even more sustainable one! Very touching was the presentation of Charlotte Vanhandenhove who welcomed us in her home of the future, the future imagined by the students. 🌳 We created a tree of hope together and had discussions around the seven themes of the book: energy, mobility, buildings, economy, food, governance and education. Seeing all these collaborations and connections been created is what gives me hope! 💃 We ended the evening with a meditation dance for the future by Tom Appels.
