How are urban representatives driving the #GreenTransition in Europe?   Arctik traveled to Gothenburg (Sweden) 🇸🇪 this week to facilitate a capacity-building event on delivering high quality Sustainable Urban Development, commissioned by the European Urban Initiative.   Co-organised with Tillvaxtverket, Boverket, and the European Commission, over 50 participants came together to explore best practices, align multi-dimensional goals, and build connections for an inclusive green transition.   Thank you for the inspiring ideas and connections we shared!   #CapacityBuilding #Sustainability #EUCollaboration #BestPractices   Maitane Almeida Oliver

Will AI take our jobs… and maybe even our office snacks? 🤔 What do you think?   At Arctik, we believe AI isn’t here to replace us but to transform the way we work. This week, our team participated in an insightful workshop on #GenerativeAI, testing out tools for content and graphic design, exploring language models, image and video generation, and other creative AI technologies.   What have we learned?  🚀There is a spectrum of AI technologies, and we need to use them strategically and ethically  📈We also need to use these technologies in ways that align with our commitments to #climate action and sustainability   A big thank you to Morgan BANCEL 🐔, Ghislain LABAY and Stéphane Galienni, from KodKodKod Studio, for their expertise and for some -- honestly surrealist -- breakout exercises!

Have you ever heard about the New European Bauhaus (NEB) values—aesthetics, sustainability, and participation?   Our colleagues headed to Limerick (Ireland) 🇮🇪 last week to facilitate the European Urban Initiative capacity building event on integrating the #NEB values and principles through the THRIVE scheme, which financially supports Irish local authorities in renovating derelict heritage buildings in their town centres.   This event gathered more than 110 participants from 31 Irish municipalities, and fostered a network of urban practitioners and experts across Ireland and Europe, promoting collaboration and the exchange of best practices.   We’re proud to have contributed to this event, reinforcing Ireland's engagement with EU-funded programmes! #CapacityBuilding #Sustainability #EUCollaboration #BestPractices Hannah Hayes, Maitane Almeida Oliver
