It's been a year for Aerospacelab! As we look to 2025, we recognize all our team accomplished in #space technology with exceptional speed and quality. In 2024, we... ✔️ Launched 4 #satellites into orbit this year, with a total of 8 nominal satellites in orbit today ✔️ Established links between our VSP-150 satellite and in-house optical ground station ✔️ Supported critical missions with our payloads and satellites, including providing multispectral imagery as part of the European Space Agency - ESA and European Union Copernicus programme ✔️ Gained new customers for our satellite platforms, including Xona Space Systems and Vyoma ✔️ Signed a contract with MDA Space to provide subsystems as part of their AURORA supply chain for the Telesat Lightspeed constellation ✔️ Grew on a global scale with new factories and new teammates at AMOS As we grow, we stay rooted in the values that set us apart. Thank you for the dedication of our employees and partners that made all this possible -- we look forward to what lies ahead!

#Podcast 🎙️: Aerospacelab CEO and founder Benoît Deper joins the Rockets & Radars podcast with host Martin Majercin discussing everything from the challenges of transitioning from government-driven to commercial space markets, to the importance of in-house manufacturing for quality and efficiency. "If you look at the supply chain of space components today, it's basically broken. Parts are expensive, of poor quality and not functioning properly in space. And then there's the systemic optimization aspect, if you procure from a third-party, you have to take what you are given to work with, making it more difficult to optimize." Yesterday, more than 40 military aviation and #space experts visited the Aerospacelab satellite #manufacturing facility to explore the intersection of our satellite technology and defense capabilities to strengthen national security and operational readiness. Our #satellite solutions can support military operations, enhance strategic communications, and improve reconnaissance and surveillance efforts. Our in-house satellite factory has a production capacity of 50 satellites a year. Operational since 2022, the factory includes a 550m² cleanroom (ISO 5 & ISO 7) and 350m² of laboratories dedicated to assembling, testing, processing and integrating our subsystems and satellites. Learn more about our current and future factories at www.aerospacelab.com.

🏗️🌍 Aerospacelab’s Megafactory in #Charleroi is progressing! With various structural partners engaged, key activities such as geothermal drilling and excavation are underway. The construction is set to ramp up, aiming for completion of structural work by early Q1 2025, followed by specialized systems installation by the end of Q3 2025. Agility is key to the future of #space and #satellite manufacturing. 🛰️ In the past, a satellite could take years to manufacture, but advanced manufacturing and the use of standardized technology and commercial parts have greatly sped up the timeline to build. Our Group CSRO and CEO of North America, Tina Ghataore discusses how Aerospacelab is changing the game when it comes to satellite production time.

#DYK: Aerospacelab demonstrated consistent progress in free-space optical communications (FSOC) technologies this year, achieving multiple closures with our satellites. 📡 ✔️ We established a link with our VSP-150 #satellite and our light-weight optical ground station in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. ✔️ With our AMOS teammates, we established an optical communication closure with the station in Redu, Belgium. ✔️ With Cailabs we established a link with their station in Rennes, France. Significant progress toward high-speed and secure transferring of data! 💫
