The endeavour of Padakhep, one of the top national NGOs in Bangladesh, started in 1986 with its own resources in a small remote village of Barisal district. From the very beginning Padakhep grew relentlessly and is currently working all over the country with 250+ branches and offices with a strong workforce of over 3,500 employees, serving over 50 million people. The motto of the organisation is to utilize Holistic Development Approach for sustained human development. It aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of the by-passed, disadvantaged and most vulnerable people particularly the women and children in rural and urban areas. Padakhep has been working for development in different sectors including education, healthcare, microfinance, women’s empowerment, agriculture and many more.
