Imagine losing everything in a matter of days. Your home submerged, your crops destroyed, your access to clean water gone. This is the heartbreaking reality for over 14,000 families in Deluti Union, Paikgacha in Khulna District. In July 2024, devastating floods swept across the southern region of Bangladesh, leaving thousands without shelter, food, and clean water. Deluti Union, in particular, has been hit hard, with entire communities struggling to survive amidst submerged homes and contaminated water supplies. For the people here, the flood isn’t just a temporary crisis—it’s an ongoing catastrophe. The floods have done more than just destroy homes and livelihoods. They have left people with no access to safe drinking water, making them vulnerable to waterborne diseases. With every passing day, children, the elderly, and the most vulnerable suffer without clean water to drink, to cook with, or to bathe in. The immediate need is clear: a sustainable solution for clean water. We have a plan. But we can’t do it without your help. What We're Doing: With your generous support, we aim to establish three solar-powered Reverse Osmosis water points in Deluti Union. Each water point will have the capacity to provide 8,000 liters of clean, safe drinking water every day. This project isn’t just a temporary fix—it’s a long-term, sustainable solution that will ensure thousands of families have reliable access to clean water, even in the face of future disasters. Why Your Help Matters: After suffering through the flood, and still reeling from previous cyclones like Amphan and Remal, these communities are on the brink. Your contribution will not only give them access to life-saving clean water, but also restore hope. It will protect families from waterborne diseases, give children the chance to grow up healthy, and provide a foundation for these communities to rebuild their lives. Together, we can make a difference. Your donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward building these water points and transforming the lives of thousands in Deluti Union. Let’s stand with the people of Khulna District during this critical time and show them they are not alone. Support us on: https://lnkd.in/gxvy2z_A Myriad USA
