POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the property's general condition of all electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and painting aspects.
Additional functions include completing maintenance request work orders on a timely basis and participating in the preventive maintenance program for all building equipment and rooms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain general maintenance of the exterior and interior of the property building
Complete work orders promptly, including on-call requests
Demonstrate the ability to resolve maintenance issues to prevent a recurrence
Maintain inventory to ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are available on-site
Inspect and test machinery and maintenance equipment
Maintain a clean and safe environment; report unsafe conditions to the supervisor and recommend corrective action
Partner with external vendors, contractors, and other maintenance team members on special projects
Perform other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma, GED, or trade school certification
HVAC certification, preferred
Residential/apartment maintenance experience, plus
Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds at variable distances often
General residential maintenance skills required are A/C, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, electronics, drywall installation, and finishing
