The Industrial Maintenance Manager will support overall manufacturing plant operations and facility maintenance through activities such as fabrication and mechanical or electrical equipment repair.
Industrial electrical background with ability to troubleshoot process equipment is preferred.
The individual will be required to carry out routine assignments as per the maintenance department direction and support daily shift maintenance requirements as needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality, company policies, procedures and recognized best practices
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on process equipment such as pumps, motors, electrical control equipment, and all other assigned items.
Must have working knowledge of mechanical and electrical trouble shooting and repairs
Must be able to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturers instructions, and engineering specifications.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operation and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Diagnose problems by observing mechanical/electrical devices in operation.
Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
Control downtime by working with production on best machine practices for using and maintaining machines.
Fabricate repair parts by using maintenance shop tools and equipment.
Anticipate needed equipment, parts, and supplies for assign jobs and report items needed in timely manner.
Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Record all work data and notes in CMMS software system and elevate critical items to maintenance manager in timely manner.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, 5S, rules, and regulations.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing assigned tasks on time and assist others with ongoing work.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Required Qualifications
Certifications and licenses:
1-year industrial mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic experience
1-year industrial electrical experience including high and control Voltages required
1-year industrial control system trouble shooting experience
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Valid drivers license
Experience with equipment maintenance, power tools, fabrication, and basic safety procedures
Flexibility, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to handle uncertainty
Other:
Successful completion of background check and drug screening
Working Conditions
Environment includes: Indoor and outdoor work throughout the shift in ambient or above ambient conditions; in close proximity to others; and around moving machinery, heavy equipment, and moving vehicles
Exposures include hazardous materials, loud noise, and extreme heat/cold
Physical requirements include climbing, standing, stooping, or typing
Physical effort/lifting is required up to 50 pounds
Required to work weekends, nights, and be on-call as a regular part of the job
