London 4-piece PREP have released their debut EP 'Futures', out now via B3SCI Records.

Since their 2015 introduction, PREP have proven themselves among the top trailblazers in crafting modern soul with delicate pop sensibilities. Early tracks "Cheapest Flight" and "Sunburnt Through The Glass" turned heads with their distinct melodies and earnest vocal lines, solifying them as bona-fide 'ones to watch' in 2016. Recent singles “Futures” and “Who’s Got You Singing Again” brought the vibe to a more chilled out level while maintaining the lush instrumentation that floats effortlessly through a sonic sea of soulful pop.

At its core, Futures is a sheer testament to PREP’s slick songwriting prowess, textured instrumentation, and, quite simply, their ability to create undeniably soulful vibes, which Rolling Stone has coined, "butter-smooth yacht-pop."

Comprised of a hip-hop producer, a classical composer, a house DJ, and a singer songwriter with credits including Drake, Kwabs, Foxes, Raleigh Ritchie, and Klangkarussell, PREP fuse elements of R&B, funk, and jazz into a melting pot of blissfully-styled pop.

PREP have sharpened their remixing chops, cutting an official remix for the massive Snakehips / Tinashe / Chance The Rapper hit "All My Friends," and were graced with a stellar remix of their own track "Cheapest Flight" by UK duo AlunaGeorge.

Taking inspiration from artists like Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, and Bobby Caldwell, who used session musicians to build a rich ensemble sound, PREP have been honing their live show with an expanded 6-piece live band. Their debut show sold out within a week and they also supported Massive Attack and TV On The Radio at BST Hyde Park. The band also played a London EP release show this week @ Birthdays.

With widespread critical support and radio love from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, KCRW, and Beats1, PREP is a top act to watch and, as The Line of Best Fit proclaims, is bringing listeners to "a much-needed funk-fueled trip to a sun-filled beach."

I was never an art student, but back in undergrad when I was too lazy/scared to get a job-job I did some nude modeling for the art college and this was the kind of album they would put on.
