According to Mental Health Commission of Western Australia, 1 in 5 Western Australians experience mental health pressures in any given year. Over time, these stress hormones can cause significant damage to the body and quality of life. As the busy holiday season approaches, it’s crucial to remain aware of and support colleagues who may be experiencing work-related stress. If you or a colleague are struggling, be sure you: 🧠 Take adequate breaks 🧠 Look for the signs! Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not there 🧠 Check in and actively listen (especially for those injured) 🧠 Seek/offer support from helplines or EAP 🧠 The way people treat you is not a reflection on you. Prevention is better than cure. So, let’s work together to create a safer and happier environment for everyone.
