You want to improve your public speaking skills in conferences. What's the best way to get started?
Repeating the question back to the audience is critical for everyone. There may be a mixture of people attending the talk and those online who may not have heard the question. It can also help clarify the question in your mind.

You want to improve your public speaking skills in conferences. What's the best way to get started?
Define what the purpose of your talk is. Are you solving a problem? Presenting a new idea? Telling a story about something that's happened? From there, outline how you are going to deliver that talk, and then develop the story from there.

You want to improve your public speaking skills in conferences. What's the best way to get started?
Start at smaller meetups/groups first. If you have a talk in mind, rehearse in front of your colleagues, friends, or smaller groups so you have a better idea of how your talk is being received. You can also record yourself, or present it online first in a comfortable settings. Ask for feedback to improve your delivery.
