This new regulation, effective from 26 August 2024 for non-small business employers and 26 August 2025 for small business employers, aims to safeguard employees' personal time by allowing them to refuse contact outside of working hours. 📅 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀: - 26 August 2024 for non-small business employers. - 26 August 2025 for small business employers. 📞 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀: - Eligible employees can refuse to monitor, read, or respond to work-related contact outside their working hours. - This includes any attempted contact from employers or third parties. ❓ 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀: - The reason for the contact. - Compensation for availability or additional hours. - The nature of the role and level of responsibility. - Personal circumstances, such as family or caring responsibilities. ⚖️ 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: First, discuss and resolve at the workplace level.
