An estimated one-third of all food produced globally goes to waste, while roughly 10% of the population struggles with food insecurity. Changing this requires innovative solutions.   Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and BCG X teamed up with Woolworths Group, Australia and New Zealand’s largest retailer, to launch Refresh:Food —a tech-driven approach to repurposing food waste. This initiative not only aims to reduce food waste by 15% and carbon emissions by 10% but also to provide 370 million meals to those in need, within five years.   Refresh:Food is transforming the food industry by creating a digital marketplace connecting farmers, wholesale buyers, and food rescue organizations. Heads of M&A report: Deloitte has released an insightful report based on interviews with 140+ Heads of M&A in Australia. An interesting finding about #IP: 55% of respondents do not explicitly consider the value of IP in M&A deals, and 36% do not consider the value creation from IP. Given that over half of ASX listed companies' value comes from intangible assets, is there a missed opportunity here?
