@Cognizant has launched a new report with Oxford Economics, titled The AI Advantage: Why ANZ is Positioned for Gen AI Success, revealing that businesses in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) plan to invest $15 million in Gen AI this year, which is higher than the global average of $12.5 million.    The report identifies regional and business factors that could either inhibit or accelerate Gen AI momentum, with ANZ’s momentum score being 15% higher than the global average. While this shows the region’s strong confidence in Gen AI’s transformative power, ANZ leaders have above-average concerns about current and prospective employee perceptions and Gen AI’s impact on sustainability.    To scale Gen AI safely, ANZ businesses should create an ecosystem of partnerships that foster talent development and innovation, prioritise AI literacy, prepare their operations for Gen AI, and focus on feasible use cases that can deliver high value quickly.
