National vendor discounting falls to 3.5% The average vendor ultimately sells their home for less than the original listing price. More vendor discounting indicates a weaker market while less represents a stronger market. So how much vendor discounting is occurring right now? Across Australia, the median vendor discount fell from 3.6% in the March quarter to 3.5% in the April quarter – the lowest in two years – according to CoreLogic. That included a fall from 3.9% to 3.8% in regional locations and a rise from 3.1% to 3.2% in the capital cities.
