Our client was reluctant to add online ordering to their sales approach. We were relentless that it would work. After adding the purchasing option, we have seen 22% of their overall sales come through the website. That’s in just four months, driving around $750K in sales. (Insert all the cartwheels here.) We provided a new avenue to capture leads, increase sales and overall engagement in the content that racked up a 263% increase in web users during that time. We’re seeing an average 23 leads coming in per day and I’m dancing around the room in celebration at about the same rate. Our client has been able to (in what they normally would call their slow time) see solid performance from these digital efforts and STILL have opportunities to upsell once the customer enters the funnel. Reframing your mindset can make all the difference. The secret❓ Well, there's been a few changes, but the number one change in recent weeks has been: ✅ Building out properly setup Search Campaigns, with accurate targeting, a 10/10 setup, customisation and most importantly AB Testing & Experimentation. Such an underrated and under utilised technique. Search is still number 1 for me (over Pmax, Shopping or any other campaign type). How to forecast when and where AI is going to steal your website traffic If you have website content that's currently getting you traffic then, depending on the content type, you could find that disappearing from the impact of AI. It's likely that it's starting to decline already. If you have content that can easily be answered by AI (ChatGPT etc.) then why would someone go to Google to get the same answer? For example, if you had an article focused on 'How to write a proposal for business funding' and you've been getting clicks from organic Google ranking, how can you compete with AI searches that will combine a range of sources into one unbiased response? Here's how to test this in your business: 1. Go to your analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) and identify a website page (e.g. a blog page) that's historically had good or reasonable levels of website visitors. 2. Note down the numbers of visitors landing on that page each calendar month for the past 6 months (or more). 3. See if there's been a decline. 4. If there's a decline in visitors then type that search query into one of the AI engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.) and see what the output is, including whether you are referenced. In many cases you'll find that people using AI are taking away your organic Google traffic and need to seriously rethink your content marketing strategy to steer away from stuff that AI can easily answer. “I’ve got too many calls booked act fast!”I read that and my BS radar goes from 0 to 100. But for the first time in my life, that’s my truth. It’s weird because, on one side, we’ve got marketing bros lying through their teeth about outcomes. “$50k all day!” 🤮 On the other side, we’ve got legit people with experience solving real problems, humbly making bank 😊 It’s a fine line. We need to market ourselves to make money. But we don’t want to brag about making money to make more money. But we are proud. And we do need to prove results. And, inspire people one or two steps behind. I’ve shared digital product results before. $60k course launches. With a caveat: I tell the whole story. No success is overnight. It’s months or years of hard work culminating in a moment. The response? 90% learn something valuable from it and feel inspired. 10% feel annoyed. Odds I can live with. This is why I’ve been building my new service, Content Sparring, in public. The good, the bad, the wins, the ups and downs. If you still hate the numbers, that’s ok. You can’t please everyone. So, I launched my new service last week and we’re at: -5 new clients (paid) -6 said “yes” (invoice sent) -8 calls books (on the calendar) -4 interested (no action taken yet) MRR added in a “week”: $7k Potential MRR if interested close: ~$20k Prices vary depending on if you choose asynch support. eCom owners listen up 📢 These 5 mistakes are costing you $100,000s in revenue: But it's not too late to salvage things. 1) Poorly optimised flows. Keep your flows captivating with a mix of different templates and content that educates, entertains, or inspires. And whatever you do, don't cut them too short. 2) Not testing enough. Experimentation really is the key to growth. Think about split testing popups, flows, campaigns, etc. Nothing is ever truly finished. 3) Relying solely on Image and graphic-heavy content. We've seen clients get crazy results from well-written, text-only emails. Mix things up and experiment (see above). 4) Ignoring SMS. I honestly can't believe how many people still sleep on the opportunity with SMS. Segment your list and send messages regularly. 5) Letting your list go stale. Cut inactive subs and run re-engagement campaigns. If people don't respond then remove them from your list. Fix those 5 things and you'll be golden 💯

I’m still trying to figure out the exact format I want to use, but I think I’ll just start by giving you updates on the 3 Shopify EMD projects, on a weekly basis and I’ll let the format develop over time. Out of the 3 EMD projects, 1 targets the US, and 2 target Australia, we’ll call the US project, Project A, and the Australian projects, B and C. Here are the updates! Project A) Spent the week arranging a lot of the access, moving billing details from one card to another, getting a VA in place with my business partner, to fulfill the orders, and identifying a great potential candidate to run the operations and manage the project. We’re still figuring out exactly what we’re going to do with the prices (we believe we need to increase prices to become profitable on Google Ads), but we’ll give it some more time. Until then, the main focus is collecting as many 5-star reviews as possible, and getting Google Ads profitable, we’ll also start building out some email flows/automation shortly. Project B) This is the project that made 4 sales last week, exclusively from organic traffic with no links, no content, no collection texts, just 100-something collections created, on-page optimized, and indexed, along with about 250 products added to the store. This week we added about 200 additional products from new suppliers to further fill out the collection pages, and the majority of the week was dedicated to image enhancement. Unfortunately, the images we get from suppliers usually aren’t of the highest quality (this is a super good opportunity for any supplier to up their game by the way - improve your image quality). Because of that, we’ve bulk-exported all product images, and we’re using an AI image enhancer to bring up the quality of the images and make the entire brand look more premium. We should have this fully done in the next few days, and on Friday we have a meeting to launch Google Ads, which I’m incredibly excited about. Project C) This one is the most insane because we literally haven’t even created any collections, we haven’t added anything to the homepage and the site doesn’t even have a navigation menu… Yet, somehow we got a $300 order in last week. Absolutely nuts. This is a higher ticket store, which has the potential to do a few million a month in revenue once it’s running at full speed… But because the project is so massive, with so many product categories, it is taking us quite a while to plan out all the keyword research, as we’re going to be targeting over 6M keywords. I’ll be getting an update shortly from my team on when this will be ready, but other than that, this week we mainly planned out the homepage, the theme we’re going to use and we’re going to start with the site layout build-out process. Other than that, I also added all 3 projects into our indexing tool a few days ago, to ensure as many product pages get indexed as possible, and that’s that. Any feedback on the format of this post?
