Terminal Operating System Replacement - Southern Ports
As the Operations Systems Lead at Southern Ports, I am currently leading the 'TOS Replacement Initiative,' a transformative project to implement a cutting-edge Terminal Operating System (TOS) across three major ports. This ambitious venture aims to modernise port operations by implementing a cutting edge terminal operations solution whilst enhancing efficiency, and streamlining port activities.
Key Highlights
Scope: Implementation of a modern TOS at Albany, Bunbury, and Esperance ports in Western Australia, addressing the unique operational needs of each location.
Objectives: The project focuses on increasing visibility of OT data, minimising operational and administrative inefficiencies, reducing human error, and eliminating revenue leakages. It also aligns with a broader business strategy to enhance port operations.
Phased Approach: The implementation is structured into distinct phases for each port, with careful integration and testing to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing port activities.
Innovative Features: The TOS features include automation integration, real-time operational data access, and advanced reporting capabilities, providing a comprehensive solution for port management.
Strategic Impact: This initiative is a key part of Southern Ports' digitisation strategy, which includes integration with existing ERP, POMS, and EAM systems to create a seamless operational environment.
Stakeholder Engagement: My role involves closely collaborating with various stakeholders, including technology partners, port authorities, and internal teams, to ensure a smooth transition and effective adoption of the new system.
This project is not just about technology implementation; it's about setting a new standard for port operations in Australia and beyond. -

Would you like to learn more about smart Customer Relationship Management (or CRM) in your business? (If you don’t know what this is, you need to attend this event). This seminar is perfect for new or existing businesses that are not yet leveraging technology (or don't know about Customer Relationship Management) to help streamline their operations.
Please be aware though; this is an “All Killer, No Filler” event with no hard sell at the end (ask previous attendees). So be sure that you’re the one at the event… and not your competition.
We very much look forward to seeing you at the event.
Jason
