Our focus is acquiring “Great Australian SMEs”: market leaders in a niche, typically family owned , with EBITDA between A$3m and $6m. Unlike Private Equity, we differentiate ourselves through a multi-decade investment horizon. We view potential targets from an "owner" rather than an "exit-driven" shareholder perspective. Arbor Permanent Owners is targeting the investment theme of corporate succession - acquiring Great Australian family owned businesses from retiring owners. We acknowledge that this investment model is ”in vogue” across the pond in the American and European markets. There are yet to be any significant folks like us in Australia. We aspire to be the dominant player in our island nation. We believe that our edge lies in acquisitions that are too sub-scale, too operationally complex, or too long-term minded to be good bets for our private equity peers. As a result, we avoid intense competition from private equity firms, ultimately allowing for value accretive acquisition multiples between 3x and 5x EBITDA. Our playbook is simple: - Pay fair prices for great businesses; - Recruit and incentivise best in class leaders; and - Reinvest and compounding cash flows into more acquisitions. Guided by our north-star metric of ROIC > 20%, executed over a long-period of time (30 years), we will all end up with a fine result. The demand for Virtual CFO (VCFO) is rising in Australia. But what exactly is the role of a VCFO, and why are they becoming a go-to solution for companies? Virtual CFO are an increasingly sought-after choice for businesses that need high-level expertise but don't have the budget, or immediate need for a full-time CFO or senior financial executive. VCFOs are typically experienced professionals with a strong background in managing finance, and they work with companies on a part-time basis. Rather than being employed full-time, VCFO are compensated for the hours they work or the specific value they bring, making them a flexible and cost-effective resource for companies of all sizes, particularly small and mid-sized businesses going through transformation.    At first glance, VCFO may seem similar to interim CFO, as both provide leadership and strategic expertise temporarily.
