Bullying behavior should also never be overlooked just because of someone's title. Being higher on the company food chain never makes it OK to talk down or harass another employee, full stop. Allowing that behavior creates a toxic environment where people don't feel valued for their contributions to the team and will become disengaged quickly. When others see that reaction from top performers all it does is spread like wildfire through your workplace.

**WA'S MORAL OBLIGATION TO HELP WORLD DECARBONISE REAFFIRMED BY WA GOVERNMENT - so why no URANIUM?*** 👏 👏 Thank you WA Energy Minister Reece Whitby; for recognising that "the State does have a duty to the rest of the world in attempting to tackle climate change." “Whatever WA can do to help the world decarbonise above and beyond our share of emissions, is something we just must do. If that means putting extra pressure on our emissions as a State, it’s our burden to shoulder for a greater reduction in global emissions." “Mining our iron ore, our lithium, all our critical minerals – and yes, our gas – help other economies decarbonise.” So this begs the question: What about our URANIUM? Exporting uranium is the single highest leverage activity Western Australia can do to help the world decarbonise. We have an industry here ready to fly - and provide diversified employment options to replace those jobs lost in nickel, lithium and iron ore. Ministers Whitby; David Michael and Premier Roger Cook KNOW its time to address this issue. ⏰ Lets take the politics out of this issue and make a change for the State that is common sense. I don’t often cross platform post; but this thread of tweets from Sam Berridge is an absolute must read for those that don’t understand the extraordinary tilting of the playing field towards renewables that has been happening with the current Australian energy policy settings. https://lnkd.in/gjbgYj8v At the same time as offering these extraordinary concessions; our government outright bans a technology that could quite possibly play a serious role in our energy landscape. And the only argument of the anti nuclear squad that might possibly seem to stick is that we’ve left it too late… and so because we’ve left it too late there is no point in lifting the ban now. Which is an extraordinarily poor and shallow argument. It would have been good to already have a civilian nuclear generation industry. But we’ve got a lot of other pieces of the puzzle and it’s never too late to get cracking! The Parliamentary Inquiry hearings into Nuclear Energy are well underway. I would urge everyone to view the recordings of the range of presentations given and decide for yourself which side seems to be more based on facts and science and which seems to be peddling in ideology and fear.

47 applicants will receive grants worth almost $7.5M in the EIS Round 29 for projects to be drilled between June 2024 and November 2025. The Western Australian Mines and Petroleum Minister, David Michael, today announced the successful applicants for Round 29 of the Exploration Incentive Scheme's (EIS) Co-funded Drilling Program, Series 7 of the Energy Analysis Program (EAP), and the inaugural Co-funded Geophysics Program (CGP). The Co-funded Drilling Program saw continued interest in battery minerals exploration this round, with 57% of the successful 47 projects targeting these commodities, including rare earth elements, lithium and nickel-cobalt. Interesting post by the NSW health and safety regulator this week which has garnered a lot of reaction about the topic (psychological health checks). But no-one seems to want to address the elephant in the room. So no doubt this will tick some people off (especially those I know at the Regulator) but for the love of all that is holy, if you own, operate or work in a business please read the last sentence in the second paragraph. To make it easy it says: "This includes if the purpose of the visit is unrelated to psychological health and safety" Basically, if they see something they can and will act accordingly (forget the context of why they were there in the first place). The Regulator's primary function is to regulate health and safety. Consider them wolves in sheep clothing. Yeah they can help but if you invite them into your workplace they can go to town on anything they see regardless if it is related to the purpose of the visit. Now before I get myself sued, I'm not saying don't ever talk to them, just be careful when you do, especially if you are getting them to come to your workplace as they do have powers that go all the way to a courtroom. Regulators are there to regulate and prosecute where appropriate. I'm here to help prevent that from happening to you. So before you call in the big dogs, reach and we can see what you may be opening yourself up to.

Australia’s East-West and North-South freight routes appear to have escaped the impacts of the heavy rain in SA. This is roughly where heavy rain in 2022 cut both East West and North South freight movements for over a month. The tacky lime green are our major freight routes (red are closed roads)

What an incredible trip it has been last month! 👩‍🚀 My 1-week business trip to Australia was a whirlwind of activity, but immensely rewarding. I had the opportunity to visit two of our locations of voestalpine High Performance Metals Australia (https://lnkd.in/gwwbGxdP), where I witnessed firsthand their unique business model, built upon speed and delivery convenience for their customers — key elements that drive their success. One of the highlights of the visit in Australia was conducting a Robotics potential analysis with voestalpine High Performance Metals DIGITAL SOLUTIONS GmbH fellows. The insights we gained are poised to drive significant advancements in our operations. On my way back, I stopped over in Singapore for a day to meet with our regional headquarters as well as Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) (https://lnkd.in/gVXw8Unv). It was truly impressive to observe a large-scale "test bed" of Industry 4.0 for automotive assembly, which is essentially a real production environment. The innovative approaches and technologies in use were eye-opening, and there's so much we can learn from their experience. Thanks to Alpesh Patel for inviting us and showing Vinod Kumar and me around. Business trips like these are tightly timed and demanding 😅, but the benefits are unparalleled. Personal exchanges are crucial—they build stronger relationships, foster deeper understanding, and drive collaborative innovation.
