Thank you, Angelo Gulisano and Nicolò Ferranti, for the Bellissimo “Leveraging Azure Application Insights with Power Apps and Power Automate” session at Coding Night NZ 🤌! We had an incredible session exploring various ways to capture telemetry within Power Apps, both in Canvas and Model-Driven Apps. Nicolò Ferranti delved into Low-Code methods as well as High-Code plugins in C#, demonstrating how to load assemblies into #dataverse to capture events and also a PCF (PowerApps Component Framework) control in ReactJs with monitoring embedded. Angelo Gulisano showcased Power Automate, highlighting its seamless integration with an Azure Function written in NodeJs for capturing telemetry data. All telemetry is available in #azure Application Insights, providing integrated analytics and insights into user flow and app monitoring! Today Microsoft and LinkedIn released the 4th #WorkTrendIndex report, revealing that 84% of Aussie and Kiwi knowledge workers say they are already using AI at work, while nearly three quarters of leaders saying they wouldn’t hire someone without #AI skills.    The opportunity ahead for leaders is to channel employee enthusiasm for AI into business transformation. This will look different for every organisation, but in many of my conversations with customers it starts with three things: 1. Identify a business problem, then apply AI. 2. Take a top-down, bottom-up approach: Leaders must lean in, and the data reinforces the importance of this and in fact a gap for A/NZ leaders. 3. Prioritise training: This is role specific training and building prompt expertise. Next Migration Batch for on-prem file share into SharePoint online migration tasks are rolling! This migration has a couple of significant uploads into some SharePoint Document libraries and has required the deployment of a second SPMT agent in a different geographical location - Victoria - Which tomorrow has a public holiday for the AFL Grand Final - So we started the migration this afternoon at 5PM to increase our upload window! New Microsoft research released today shows that generative AI (GenAI) is now being used in nearly every large organisation across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). The findings indicate a pivotal moment, with 100 per cent of survey respondents reporting personal time savings at work due to GenAI. Our latest #WorkTrendsIndex is here, and it shows Aussies are world-leaders when it comes to adopting #GenerativeAI.  84% of Australian knowledge workers use #GenAI at work, while the global average sits at 75%. Complex Businesses, CRMs and the People Factor Off the Shelf CRMs Not the Solution for Complex Businesses OR NDIS Provider and its Complex Ecosystem Standard CRM Systems don’t cut it for knotty businesses. This is especially so for operationally complex businesses. For example, one of our clients is an NDIS provider. They don't fit the standard CRM bucket. Our clients have to deal with: Volunteers Trainers Participants/patients/clients Emergency contact points Financial people Family members. Pets Room availability Trainer availability First aid people co-ordination Volunteer management Message people And that’s just for starters. Believe me, there is a lot more than that. All of it had to be tracked so that accurate reports could be created. To maintain funding, quarterly reports were mandatory. Until we came to the rescue, they did all their reports manually. They realised that continuing with a labour-intensive reporting system was untenable. So, we developed a customer system perfectly aligned with their complex requirements. Once done, things were a lot easier: Instead of their team taking five days to create one of the monthly reports manually, we transformed it into two clicks to refresh the screen. This completely removed the need to install a high-end accounting system. So, to equip grants, they needed to have some of their team do five days of manual report creation for this one particular board room report they needed every month.
