About
I am a Human Geography Lecturer at Monash University. My research focuses on climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction and migration. My work seeks to understand the drivers and impacts of social vulnerability, and to identify ways to support community wellbeing and sustainability.
I previously worked at the University of Melbourne exploring adaptation in small island developing states in the Pacific, and before that at Exeter University exploring resettlement in India, Ghana and Bangladesh. My PhD (2014) examined household adaptation to bushfire risk in outer Melbourne. I have worked as a Senior Consultant at the Social Research Centre evaluating government and non-governmental programmes, and spent a couple of years working in state government.
