Transition to Windows 11 with Datacom. Datacom is ready to help Australian and New Zealand businesses upgrade to Windows 11 after signing an agreement with Microsoft to be a Strategic Refresh Initiative (SRI) partner for the local market. With Windows 10's end of support date of October 2025, all businesses should be planning to make the shift to Windows 11 ahead of that date to avoid any potential disruption and take advantage of greater integrations with the variety of Copilots available. The benefits of the new Operating System include advanced security features, better performance driven by specialised hardware such as Neural Processing Units (NPUs) that optimise AI tasks, improved collaboration, and enhanced productivity with Copilot+ PCs coming with built-in AI tools to streamline tasks and find information quickly. What an incredible day at the Dell Technologies Forum in Sydney, where other than our clients and partners, John Roese was the highlight. Some of my key takeaways from the keynote on were: - GenAI provides the opportunity to rebalance work between people and machines. - It’s also the single biggest productivity tool or event that we have experienced in our lifetime, but it may not be the biggest we ever experience. - Organisations need to find a way to accelerate activities in the AI space to have a competitive advantage. What to think about and where to start: 1. Determine what makes you special. What is the core of your business? And then look there. 2. Data is the differentiator. Ask yourself: Is the data accessible? Is it being used properly? Expand your data ecosystem and evolve your data governance. Dell AI Factory discussions help you work through this. 3. Bring AI to your data. Data and compute come together to produce AI outcomes. You choose which one has gravity. AI infrastructure is different. The components may look similar, but the workloads are very different. 4. Right-size your IT. The end state is that the majority of the infrastructure will be delivering AI outcomes. The new will inevitably be the majority. 5. Open and modular. The pace of change is so fast that your strategy should be to stay open, stay modular, and be flexible, leveraging an open ecosystem. 6. Secure and sustainable. It must work in your enterprise's security and regulatory environment and be sustainable. From AI to Edge computing, the sessions explored the cutting-edge technologies driving productivity and uncovering new opportunities for organisations. Seeing so many real-world use cases was fantastic, from enhancing data insights to building more resilient infrastructures, shaping how we do business today and tomorrow. Beyond the tech sessions, it was great to reconnect with colleagues, partners, and clients. Thanks for making it a valuable day.

The use of Public Cloud solutions like Azure are growing rapidly - and it can be hard to keep up. We consider a move to public cloud as a business change initiative, one that must include People, Processes and the Technology. At Equinox, our company value #2 is "Knowledge exists to be shared" - and that's the reason that we've been a training business as long as we've been in business. Microsoft Learn also has a huge number of free resources available to ensure teams can up-skill and modernize their approach. Ultimately the future is cloud and New Zealand business leaders need to hire and nurture talent for us to keep up.

Fantastic summary of the discussion James Henderson The key takeaway from me was the critical nature that the "ecosystem" plays in solving these challenges from the customer's perspective. Often in vendors we convince ourselves that our technology is the single source of the solution for customers, and the reality is that we are always part of a broader solution that needs to be effectively brought together to deliver the customer outcomes. The discussion highlighted the critical nature of Identity in today's world, but it also showed that customers need to be working with organisations who understand their business, have a broad perspective on their specific needs and can recommend the appropriate technologies for that specific project. Of course, these companies often then provide a critical role in the implementation and ongoing management of the technology to deliver the customer ROI. We at Okta are so fortunate to have partners like CyberCX, Sekuro and KPMG that provide this critical function for our joint customers. Thanks to them for making the time on the day to provide their valuable insights.

It's been incredible to see the scale and speed of AI innovation across the financial services industry in Australia.
