The program covered a wide range of areas within economics including Marco and Micro Economics, Economic Systems, Econometrics and Entrepreneurship. Learning outcomes were very focused on problems and challenges facing governments, business, and society.

The course also had a significant focus on professional development, subsequently, course assessments and projects typically replicated professional tasks eg. a consultancy report for a client, a quarterly earnings release or an analysis paper on current government policy.

Brian also participated in regular “transformative dialogue” meetings with a course lecturer which focused on developing and enhancing professional skills.

Brian achieved a first class honours grade in thesis "Investigation of the relationship between changes in sovereign credit ratings and returns on the stock market"
