Starting as of November 1st 2024 (Today), I will be taking the helm of overseeing the SUSE business for Australia and New Zealand. After having been at Denodo for 3.5 years, a leader in the Data Management market, I am now very pleased to join the SUSE team under the leadership of Dirk-Peter van Leeuwen, Arun Oberoi, Josep Garcia, Frank Feldmann, Werner Knoblich and the brilliant SUSE family both locally and internationally. I have been incredibly grateful for my time working at Denodo, building the team while helping organisations extract greater and greater value from their data in an ever complex and regulated world. One of the reasons I have made the move, is because according to Gartner, Cloud spending continues to exceed 20% YoY into the next few years, while the 2023 https://lnkd.in/gKp-Tkbt showed the average organisation was trying to manage ~3 CSP's. Gartner further states the demand by the business from Platform Engineering teams, by 2026 is to have a frictionless, self service, reusable experience to speed code into production securely. The business driven AI demand and systems co-dependencies we know are huge. With cloud native platforms underpinned by linux and containers, combined with integrating older systems that are dependent on successfully digitising processes and AI, I am of the view SUSE has a unique approach to create greater value in this highly challenging space. SUSE's long history of world class open source enterprise linux and more recently container management, have a differentiated approach to unify, standardise, support and secure across these platforms without forcing expensive migrations and re-engineering overhead.
