We had a blast at the AWS Cloud Days yesterday! A huge thank you to everyone who came out and to the AWS team for their outstanding support! Some highlights: 👉 Flying the Crayon and Parallo flag in the NZ market and building connections within the software development community across SaaS/ISV, Corporate and Enterprise customers. In a market where nearly every company is (or is becoming) a software company building B2B, B2C and internal apps or data solutions in the cloud, we have so much value to offer. 👉 Spending the day with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) team to deep dive into our new services designed to help companies optimise application performance, enhance end-user experience, deploy efficiently and innovate in the cloud. 👉 Celebrating the new Ai solutions our Crayon Data & Ai team deployed into production for customers in Australia and NZ. Moving from POC to Production is a big milestone for many companies, and a great opportunity to achieve the expected ROI. 👉 Speaking with the members of the dev community who got their job at the AWS Cloud Days last year. This helped me see the impact of the AWS investment and the difference it's making in the NZ economy.

The growth in cloud in Australia is helping grow our economy, aid innovation and deliver new capabilities. We need to ensure that government treads lightly when seeking to add regulation across the sector. The new report into the cloud sector looks at the cloud sector's contribution and the regulatory framework and risks and provides recommended approach.

Jay Strydom on the panel at Dev Day Aotearoa, discussing the future of cloud computing. Jay loves a good challenge. If you tell him that you have tried everything to optimise your cloud cost, he will go deep into your architecture to find a way to achieve more savings without impacting performance or your security posture. If you tell him your application or Ai solution can’t perform better without increasing your COGS, he will find a way to get it done… It was great for Jay to share some of his insights with the dev community today, inspiring others to achieve more in the cloud.
