So you can imagine the surprise - and the horror - the team at NIB must have felt when their #sustainability team came up and told them estimates showed their #marketing & #media activities were 59% of TOTAL GROUP EMISSIONS. Cue a new plan for #digitaladvertising emissions reporting and reduction with the help of Scope3 + GroupM. Turns out there is plenty of low-hanging fruit to be picked to address the problem, if you're able to ditch clicks and take on better and more realistic #marketing measures. #IYKYK In this latest in-depth report for Mi3Australia I take a look at what the health insurer + another Aussie business University of Tasmania have done to try and curb their #advertising footprint. This is a problem for our industry that's only going to become more urgent & important to address. Australia has now introduced legislated #climatereporting for the largest businesses this year and it's extending to even more in the next 1-3 years. Scope 3 emissions are 98% of total emissions - and this is where #advertising, #digital and #media are really going to face a reckoning. Featured on Yahoo, AAP Network The recent supermarket inquiry has revealed concerning issues in Australia's grocery sector, highlighting the financial challenges many families face when purchasing basic necessities. Key points: The ACCC has uncovered evidence suggesting major supermarkets may have been inflating prices while creating the illusion of discounts. This revelation calls for greater transparency in grocery pricing. The Supermarket Inquiry recommended that new mandatory rules for the Food and Grocery Code of Conduct be implemented. Trust between consumers and retailers is at stake, and action is necessary to protect Australian families. Concerns arise that these pricing strategies may have contributed to overall inflation. My thoughts: The ACCC's findings confirm what many consumers have long suspected about deceptive discount pricing. Why are there very few Cultural Awareness Providers using their Voice to educate Australians on Social or Digital Media? Some of you, have no marketing presence whatsoever. Have you been censored by a company you provide your learning to? I hope not. That's just as bad as signing your Voice away to Mining in this country (Mining in the Pilbara was exposed for "gagging Traditional Owners" under NativeTitle Agreements in the Pilbara as part of the #JuukanGorgeInquiry). No good. Did you lose your way through the money they threw at you? You love money more than Teaching now? Sad. Assimilation tick.... Don't even start with Me on lateral violence. Do not confuse my post with that. This is called #CulturalAccountability via #Spotlighting. It seems silly to teach culture within the rules and boundaries of a client or customer. Your customers need to adapt to your cultural rules and boundaries. Claim your Voice again please. Cultural Learning Providers are more important today than ever before.
