🤩Kudos to our Zinfra Power Services South team for a key milestone at Surrey Hills Zone Substation! The Zinfra crew played a vital role in supporting our client @UnitedEnergy with the installation of a new transformer at the Surrey Hills Zone Substation, to replace the existing old transformer that has reached the end of its operational life. The Surrey Hills Zone Substation has been supplying electricity to the surrounding area for the past 70 years. This upgrade will allow the supply of reliable electricity in the area for years to come. Our Zinfra team are a group of highly skilled technical specialists, who are proud of the work they do and the impact they have on keeping communities connected to power. "I didn’t want to just sell equipment—I wanted to be the one installing it." It's inspiring to read about what motivated our very own first-year apprentice, Tiah Smith, to join the Zinfra team in the latest Gladstone News. Tiah’s passion for paving the way for more women in the gas transmission sector is something we proudly celebrate. Her dedication and drive are exactly what make Zinfra such a great place to work and belong. But don't just take our word for it—hear it straight from Tiah! Discover her journey and the impact she's making in the energy sector here: https://ow.ly/rBUX50UrtZW At Zinfra, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive culture through targeted recruitment, support systems, and initiatives to empower women in the energy sector.

READY, SET, CLICK! It turns out our field crews aren’t just the experts on the tools, there are also some budding photographers capturing stunning moments out on the frontline. We thought we’d share these images taken for a monthly photo competition ran within our Zinfra Power Services South team. Standouts included: 📸 Phillip Hart’s impressive sunset in Reservoir VIC, while restoring power to a customer after a house fire. 📸 Maddison Hay’s powerful group photo celebrating the diversity of our team members at the VIC Pakenham depot. 📸 Matt Hanigan’s incredible images during night works to strengthen the network in Brighton, TAS. 📸 Gary Daicos’ striking photo of our team taking no safety shortcuts at the Next DC GIS Substation in Tullamarine, VIC. ✨The overall winner was Adrian Kelly, who captured a series of photos at the Templestowe Terminal Station VIC. One of his standout shots shows our apprentices working with their mentor 🙌 Congratulations to all our team members for their dedication and creativity.

☕ As our team members fuel up for the start of the day at our head office’s in-house cafe, Coffee on Cue, they aren’t just servicing their caffeine habit they are also making a difference, with a percentage of takings donated monthly to not-for-profit organisations. This year we are thrilled to have provided more than $58,000 to a range of worthy organisations including: The Smith Family, Cancer Council Australia , Fitted for Work, Koala Kids Foundation, RSPCA Australia, Clean Up Australia Ltd, KARI , Lighthouse Foundation and R U OK?. While our team members may miss the cart over the festive period, we hope that the money raised supports people in our communities during this time. #seasonofgiving #supportingourcommunities

Our new Victorian Testing and Commissioning Development Program is just another way we are developing our people and our capability to better partner with our clients and keep energy flowing to our communities.
A Milestone in Team Development Today, we launched an exciting development program at our Broadmeadows Depot bringing together our Victorian Testing and Commissioning team for the first time. This includes talented colleagues working on the Jemena, United Energy, AusNet and Projects & Infrastructure assets, working collaboratively to build skills, strengthen connections and drive innovation. The program is showcasing our commitment to excellence in technical competence and positions us to further develop this critical profession for the challenges offered by the energy transition and the increase in data storage, analysis and AI. I’m excited to see how this initiative will empower our teams and contribute to our shared success in the future. #energy #electricity #testing

This #seasongofgiving, we want to celebrate some of the amazing organisations we’ve supported this year – including those who work to make a difference for Indigenous people in the communities where we operate. We’re very proud to have supported the Tennant Creek Women’s and Children’s Refuge for many years in their efforts to care for people experiencing family violence. Also in Tennant Creek, we continue to support the local council’s annual Christmas Tree program, which brings the joy of the season to many local Indigenous kids. And, for the first time, in October this year we were delighted to celebrate fantastic Australian athletes as a sponsor of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sports Awards. To all the amazing workers and volunteers, we hope you have a wonderful festive season!
