    A PMO Manager is not a Project Manager. A Project Manager is not a PMO Manager. Can some individuals possess the skills to do both? Absolutely. However, these roles are distinct and require different skill sets. Having someone deliver projects and manage the PMO is like marking your own homework. Let’s not try to save money by pretending these are the same role—they are not. Instead of being twins, think of them as cousins.     I've used tons of frameworks in my career. Most are a mess. Not useful. Bad. Just no clarity about how to put things into action... But I found this framework that changes everything: • Problem Define it clearly. This drives your whole approach. • Purpose What do you want to achieve? Be specific. • Questions & Hypotheses These guide your research. Make them sharp. • Conceptual Framework The essence of your study. Get this right. • Literature Review Don't just summarize. Analyze, synthesize, and connect. • Approach Choose methods that fit your questions. • Data Collection Be systematic. Quality data = quality results. • Analysis Let your framework guide you. Don't get lost in the numbers. • Conclusions Connect back to your problem. What did you solve? Each step feeds into the next. It's a woven cycle, not a linear path. This framework, created by Dr. John Latham, transformed my thinking about the research process. It might do the same for you. Enjoy. #phd #research 👉 What's your favourite framework?
