Exactly what I have been talking about. We have to do better if we are serious about championing true workplace gender equality in organisations. “Australian women lose $17 billion in earnings and superannuation annually due to challenges related to (peri)menopause, highlighting the need for organisations to prioritise menopause support as a core component of their gender equality agendas.” #workplaceequality #DEI #diversity #inclusion

About us
Who is the Talent Sourcing Collective? The Talent Sourcing Collective is a culmination of a 17 year journey in Talent Acquisition and Strategic Talent Sourcing that has lead to a desire to write and share knowledge, experiences and insights on all things talent, leadership, women in business and all things in between. I am known in the industry as being a thought leader for building and scaling internal talent sourcing functions, training sourcers, and building high potential teams. A tools and technology junkie, using all forms of technology and social media (*as well as old fashioned phone!) to identify candidates and build long term career relationships is at the heart of what I do! A Boolean expert (according to the courses I have done!) any candidate is find-able (its how you engage though that separates the sourcers from the talent leaders!) I have vast experience working across ANZ, broader APAC as well as globally within various verticals (digital, technology, finance, healthcare, transportation - you name it!) So what am I am great at? Building, scaling and leading sourcing teams, developing great sourcers, having a mindset that converts commercial objectives into talent strategies and using talent analytics and insights to drive meaningful talent discussions.

Should sourcing stay a specialised skillset? Specialist sourcers can be incredibly valuable, a panel of recruitment and TA leaders agree, but they are divided on whether this skillset is required across the board by recruiters. The panel at last month’s Sourcing Summit Australia discussed the challenges sourcers and recruiters might face in the next 12–24 months, and how sourcing methods are evolving. But Gibson-Jones, talking about in-house recruiters, cautioned against diluting their capabilities by “expecting everyone to be everybody”. “Do I expect my recruiters to be sourcers? Categorically not. Likewise, I don’t expect my sourcers to be recruiters,” she said. https://lnkd.in/gBiSXWrt #talentacquisition #strategicsourcing #talentsights #talentanalytics #talentadvisory

How to stay motivated in TA when the market turns… again. I’ve spoken with a few TA leaders recently, that honestly – wonder how much longer they can stay in TA and continue to whether these markets. One minute we are in demand and the best thing since sliced bread, the next minute – the axe falls, and we are some of the first to go. It’s tough. I am finding it tough. My team is finding it tough. My hiring managers are finding it tough. https://lnkd.in/gbaaEKX4

“Ngumbi Jodi” or hello in Dharawal. Today I acknowledge the land on which we are lucky enough to call home, the land of the Dharawal people and I want to acknowledge their elders and their leaders past, present and emerging. Even though I love Australia Day, and love what it stands for, I still want to acknowledge what happened on this date in 1788, and how this changed the history for our indigenous and First Nations people. The beauty of Australia Day is we all share this history full of diversity and multiculturalism, but let’s listen, understand and empathise with those who have different feelings about this day and what it means for them and celebrate the beauty in diversity and difference. #alwaystheirland #ondharawallandtoday #inclusionandempathy #alwayswasalwayswillbe
