What environmental factors impact Tensile structure maintenance? Tensile structures are designed for durability, but environmental factors like extreme weather, pollution, and UV exposure can increase maintenance needs. Weather Woes: Intense rain, wind, or snow can stress materials over time. Pollution: Dust and airborne contaminants can build up, dulling surfaces and requiring periodic cleaning. UV Exposure: Prolonged sunlight can degrade some materials, but our designs ensure maximum UV resistance to minimise this impact. The Tensile team is really proud of our contribution to the Ned Kelly Discovery Hub at Glenrowan, designing and installing safety facades for the elevated viewing platform. Here is insight into the job: Using Webnet mesh, flexible and transparent, we created secure barriers that blend seamlessly into the helical steel structure while maintaining key sightlines to landmarks related to Kelly’s last stand.
