We believe sponsorship is more than just logos on banners—it's about creating meaningful partnerships that drive purpose and impact. Last Awards, we had the pleasure of collaborating with Cyber Skills Enrichment Program (Cyber Audit Team) and Griffith University as part of their sponsorship. Together, we co-created powerful content that amplified the inspiring stories of individuals participating in their 12-week Cyber Skills Enrichment Program, designed to equip learners with practical skills to enter the cyber security industry. For us, this was the perfect match. By aligning with their purpose-driven work, we were able to showcase the transformative power of their program and bring these stories to our vast and engaged network. Every partnership we build starts with a conversation—exploring roadmaps, goals, and shared visions for the future. Whether it’s co-creating content, supporting initiatives, or aligning with your ESG commitments, we ensure our sponsors gain genuine value and impact through the TechDiversity platform. We’re not just here to celebrate diversity—we’re here to create it, amplify it, and share it. If your organisation is looking to align purpose with opportunity, let’s talk about how we can create something extraordinary together for 2025. • We were thrilled to be a Gold Sponsor of the TechDiversity Awards for 2024. One of our program's focus areas is to drive greater diversity in the cyber security workforce. Our sponsorship of the awards allowed us to collaborate closely with TechDiversity to raise awareness of our program among those who could benefit the most, while also supporting and celebrating initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion in ‘all’ tech workforces across Australia.

This sponsorship has been a key factor in the success of our program.

Well it certainly does take a village, it was wonderful to see our research partner Diversity Atlas assist us with making sure that everyone at the BeerOps Melbourne end of year meet had an opportunity to contribute to our study, with the aim of Building a Technology Workforce That is Representative of Society. For those of you who may not know - this world first study called Tech Reflects seeks not just to measure and identify gaps; it’s about uncovering the rich, untapped skill sets within our society that can propel us toward our collaborative mission of achieving 1.2 million tech jobs by 2030. We are looking forward to releasing some of the findings of the BeerOps community, with Stephen Wallace and Gerhard Schweinitz - what we love about this study is our ability to use data to dig deep via an intersectionality lens and more. Thanks BeerOps for having us at your fantastic meet-up. It's going to be a great 2025! Hop on now to the study and contribute - https://lnkd.in/g8dy8jyt

  • Great article featured in HR Leader from Fiona McIntosh it highlights the pressing need for cultivating an inclusive culture in the workplace that effectively integrates multigenerational employees, specifically the dynamics between Gen X and Gen Z. This includes addressing the significant generational gaps and the unique challenges and opportunities they present in a corporate setting. The TechReflects study we are running serves as a vital tool in understanding and addressing these issues. By gathering comprehensive demographic and cultural data across various sectors, including generational data, the study aims to offer insights that can help tailor DEI strategies to bridge these generational divides effectively. By leveraging data to understand the distinct values, work ethics, and communication styles of different generations, organizations can develop more inclusive practices that not only respect but also harness the strengths of a diverse workforce. The ultimate goal is to ensure that the workplace is not only accommodating but also empowering for all employees, regardless of their age, fostering a culture where both Gen X and Gen Z can thrive together. https://lnkd.in/gg-7XyNw

    • Designing for a diverse future -
  • This is a tough article to read/share - Mishandled DEI fuels resentment: ‘It’s a leadership crisis’ As we gear up for the 2025 TechDiversity Awards—a celebration of the strides made in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)—it's crucial to reflect on both the successes and the challenges. The quote in the article rings true today: “It’s 2024. Can we stop labelling diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as an HR initiative? It’s a leadership accountability. And let’s be honest – most business leaders are botching it.” This powerful statement emphasises that DEI extends beyond human resources; it is a fundamental aspect of leadership. In the spirit of the upcoming awards, it's important to acknowledge that DEI involves complex human elements, and not every initiative will be perfect. As we recognise achievements, we also remain vigilant about where organisations falter. This dual perspective ensures that our celebration is grounded in the reality of ongoing work and the continuous need for improvement and accountability in DEI practices. This holistic approach not only honors successes but also propels the conversation forward, ensuring that DEI remains a central component of organisational leadership. https://lnkd.in/gRg8_5PS
