Interesting news coming out of the USA, with a three-year aerial research project resulting in the development of “the first elements of a millimetre-wave (mmWave) wireless communication system. According to a report in Aerospace Testing International, researchers the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and New York University Tandon School of Engineering have developed and tested the UAS-based mmWave channel measurement system and relevant channel models to help understand how radio signals propagate in the air and around buildings. This new approach has the potential to enable a high data rate communication between drones and ground robots for use in urban safety and emergency response missions. We’re keen to see how these developments translate into the Australian market. If you’re interested to learn how the Plan Safe team can assist with your next aerospace project, please don’t hesitate to reach out: 📧 [email protected] 📞 1300 030 361

Today is International Men’s Day! A key aim of International Men’s Day (IMD), is to highlight some of the social issues that men and boys face, including: - 50 Australian men a day are dying from preventable causes, before they reach the age of 75 - Men born in Australia still die an average of 7 years younger than women born in Australia - 3 out of 4 suicides are men - 2 out of 3 violent deaths are men - Boys underperform girls at every stage of education - Dads who want to be more involved in their children's lives face a range of barriers. The theme for International Men's Day 2024 is "Men's Health Champions". At Plan Safe, we support the Six objectives of International Men’s Day: 1. Valuing male role models 2. Acknowledging the contribution of men and boys 3. Improving male health 4. Tackling discrimination and disadvantage 5. Fostering positive gender relations 6. Making the world a safer place for everyone https://lnkd.in/gZRN_nRn
