We're taking a look at the year that was and celebrating our 2024 achievements! 🌳 Highett Common Not only did we break ground on our $500 million masterplanned project, Highett Common, but we also topped out on the project's first building in October. These significant milestones ensure we are on track to complete the project's first stages next year and welcome its very first residents home. This year we also announced our unique builder-developer, exclusive partnership with SK Construction, who have been appointed to construct and deliver Highett Common alongside the project team. The exclusive partnership with SK Construction will allow us to have complete oversight over the delivery of each stage within Highett Common, providing additional delivery assurance to our customers. 🏗️ Selling & Stages This year saw the launch of The Mews Collection at Higehtt Common, and the introduction of the project's first luxury collections, ensuring a diverse selection of housing options for purchasers. We're extremely proud of our entire team this year, whose hard work and dedication saw us achieve significant sales milestones with over 85% of Highett Common's first stage now completely sold out. Initial interest in our third stage has taken off and is expected to continue growing, with this year's significant announcements around stamp duty concessions contributing to sales. We look forward to seeing this trend continue into the new year! ✨ 2025 and beyond This year we celebrated a number of other achievements including our second annual Sunkin Showcase Evening, an exclusive industry event that celebrates the year that was and the year ahead for our company. As we move into 2025, our focus will continue on delivering much-needed housing and amenities in Melbourne's middle-ring on sites aligned to our focus on Net Zero Energy (NZE), housing targets, energy innovation and positive community outcomes. Over the last few weeks, Highett Common has been buzzing with activity as we celebrated the official topping out of the precinct’s first building, Park House. A verdant tree-lined boulevard connects the Highett Common precinct. As part of stage three's The Mews Collection, a series of natural mews will be created in tandem with Tract Consultants to connect buildings for a connected walkable community. We hosted another successful event to preview the newest collection of our Highett Common project. Open to Melbourne's Bayside and the wider Melbourne community, the day included live music and local catering with agents on hand to answer any queries. “We haven’t seen those numbers since before Covid, probably not since back in 2015-2016, and since then the overseas property market has pretty much dried up,” - Jason Zhu The Victorian Government has just announced major cuts to stamp duty, a move that has produced mixed reactions. Over the next 12 months, home buyers will receive in some cases, up to an 87% reduction in payable stamp duty, a move aimed at removing financial barriers to encourage more buyers. Reaching the peak of progress, Highett Common officially reached its highest level of construction. A morning of festivities on-site marked the occasion, with our project team and partners coming together to celebrate the project's new milestone, complete with catering from The Hellenic House Project by George Calombaris.
