Big news for international students: Ministerial Direction 111 (MD111) is now effective, replacing MD107 for offshore Subclass 500 (Student) visa applications. Priority Levels: 🟢 Priority 1: Fast processing for offshore student visa applications linked to eligible providers that haven’t met enrolment thresholds which is below 80% of their enrolment allocation. 🟡 Priority 2: Standard processing for applications from providers that have reached their target. What’s the best thing to do? Choose an institution that hasn't reached its enrolment threshold to take advantage of faster visa processing. 🏫 Need guidance in choosing the right university? Today, I had the honor of hosting a panel at SYMPLED2024 at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, featuring the true heart of our industry: international students. Joining us were Mayor’s Student Ambassadors Angelo Gomes, Anika Kalalo, and Dinah Dong, who shared their unique journeys from Brazil, the Philippines, and China, respectively. Their insights offered a powerful glimpse into the lived experience of studying in Australia. They discussed the effectiveness of current reforms, navigating visa processes, adjusting to life here, and how the cost of living shapes their future plans. Hearing their stories firsthand reminded us of the profound impact these reforms have on their lives and the evolving view of Australia from a student’s perspective. Grateful to be part of this conversation, as it highlighted not only the challenges but also the dreams and aspirations that drive these students forward. Looking ahead, we can continue to refine our efforts to ensure Australia remains a supportive, welcoming environment for international students everywhere SYMPLED - Symposium for Leading Education Recruitment Griffith University Robert Parsonson

🌏 Exciting News for Skilled Workers! Australia Eases Restrictions on Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (Subclass 482) Key Changes Effective November 24, 2024: ☑ Reduced Work Experience: The required work experience is now just 1 year instead of 2 years, making the visa more accessible for recent graduates and professionals with limited work histories. ☑Flexible Work History: Non-continuous work experience is now accepted. This means that employment gaps or part-time jobs can be counted towards the necessary work experience. ☑Recognition of Part-time and Casual Work: Part-time and casual employment can now contribute to the work experience requirement as long as it is relevant to the nominated occupation. ☑Removal of 5-Year Recency Requirement: Work experience obtained over five years ago can now be taken into account, providing greater flexibility for applicants. If you're thinking about applying for a 482 visa, it's advisable to consult with an immigration agent to evaluate your eligibility and understand the specific requirements. 📣 Great news for those who have had their Canadian study permits rejected! The Pilot allows individuals applying for leave and judicial review of study permit refusals to complete the process in under five months, compared to the previous 14-18 months. This application seeks Federal Court permission to challenge immigration decisions. To be eligible, you must: ✅ Have received a study permit refusal from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). ✅ Agree to participate in the pilot project, along with IRCC. ✅ Have a straightforward case without any complex legal or factual issues. ✅ Not need to request an extension of time to file your application. ✅ Not use affidavit evidence to introduce new evidence. Take advantage of this faster process! Book a free consultation today and explore your options. https://sworld.app/ #canadavisa #studyincanada #studypermitcanada
