Supporting the community via the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal. In the spirit of giving, Stoddart Group are proud to be supporting the community and those less fortunate this holiday season via the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal in partnership with the Salvation Army. The appeal aims to create a brighter Christmas for Aussies experiencing hardship or crisis, through the delivery of gifts and donation of funds. We’re excited to introduce Ashley Henkel, our General Manager - Framing. Since joining us in September, Ashley has been busy learning the business, meeting our people and suppliers, and collaborating with our team to develop our short and long term strategies for our Framing Business. Ashley’s role oversees the fabrication of our Stoddart Group Frames, including light gauge steel and timber frames, floor systems, and trusses. Ashley brings with him a wealth of experience to the solutions we offer, previously working for Langs Building Supplies where he honed his understanding of framing (steel and timber), building codes and their applications. This included working closely with Standards Australia, leading an industry committee to draft and publish the first standards for the Timber Truss market. As Chair of the committee for over 10 years, Ashley was instrumental in driving these industry advancements. Inspired by working together with a professional and enthusiastic team, his passion for innovation and collaboration makes him a valuable addition to the Stoddart Group Team. Outside of work, Ashley helps support his wife Michelle and son Aaron to spread Christmas cheer each year by participating in charity rides across the Gold Coast, with Aaron's Harley-Davidson transformed into a display of lights and decorations. Thanks to the generosity of regular donors, this year they’ve been able to contribute over $1,000 worth of gifts to 3 incredible causes they've supported for over 7 years: Newlife Church Robina’s Christmas Project, Oliver’s Night Ride for children’s health and research, and the Annual Ipswich Toy Run for the Salvation Army. We’re excited to introduce Peter Steen, our Group Workplace Health & Safety Manager. Peter started with us in August and in his role he oversees Workplace Health and Safety across the Group, delivering vital support to our Safety, Construction and Operations Teams, and ensuring safety initiatives are effectively implemented. With over 20 years experience in various safety roles and a strong background in developing and implementing safety programs across multiple industries, Peter's wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience is a valuable addition to our high performing safety team. His work includes overseeing safety processes and reporting on all safety activities, helping to create a safe and supportive work environment for everyone.
