Singaporeans, you can now get Forged Gras island-wide 📢 with Black Cow by Sam Chua — our newest partner, serving our newest dish: the Forged Gras Don.
Taking our Forged Gras, Sam is caramelising it golden in a savoury-sweet reduction, smothering it in wagyu beef, and plating it in-store and on Grab.
But wait! That's right, there’s more! If seeking something a bit more more, gourmands-on-the-go can also taste the Forged Gras Kushiage, the (not-so-secret, secret) Forged Gras Handroll (the secret is it's only available only on Grab), or enjoy a Glazed Forged Gras add-on.
....and you’ll just have to order it to find out more. In fact, why not order it right now? 👀https://lnkd.in/gCSc7n3NGeorge PeppouDalia AdlerPeakBridgeProsperity7 VenturesBlackbirdSquare PegGreen Queen Media
As we head into the silly season and one of the biggest retail sales periods of the year, do you ever wonder how retailers determine which promotions they should run, when, and how they will perform?
We're thrilled to have recently led GoodWork.ai's $4 million Seed round, and to welcome Matthew Smith, Alex Bergsåker, and Ric Porteous to the Square Peg portfolio!
GoodWork.ai is working with a group of global retailers to build the most powerful analytics AI ever created for the retail sector. They're building it specifically for the merchandise, finance and operations teams to make trade performance analysis fast and easy.
The AI analyses the impact of everything from promotion changes to the weather on a retailer’s performance. It surfaces clear answers on what happened and why performance changed. And it quantifies the impact of the changes.

We recently hosted our Square Peg Founder Summit 2024. Every two years, we gather our portfolio founders from across our investment geographies - Australia & New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and Israel, for a multi-day Summit designed to foster shared learning between founders and provide attendees the opportunity to hear insights from a lineup of guest speakers who are outliers in their field.
This year, one of the topics front of mind for many of our founders was how to maintain culture as a startup scales. Square Peg Principal Lucy Tan has shared her reflections on some insights that founders and startups can universally apply.

Wise, formerly known as Transferwise, was founded in 2010 by Taavet Hinrikus and Kristo Käärmann, its current CEO. Many know their affordable cross-border transfer product or popular, bright green international debit cards.
Wise has many of the characteristics that Square Peg’s Global Tech Fund looks for in the businesses we invest in - it is founder-led, a market leader in fintech, ~3 years out from IPO with a clear path to becoming >5x bigger over the next 5-7 years.
David M. from Square Peg’s Global Tech Fund takes a deeper dive into our investment thesis for Wise - a founder-led business with a bold vision of ‘money without borders’. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gMp3TMR4Ben HensmanSam Eden#listedequities#fintech#GTF

Hong Kong, we’ve arrived – but don’t think we came empty-handed! Say hello to our newest product Forged Gras, a foie gras made from cultured Japanese quail, coming to your streets in a deliberately different way.
In an eccentric izakaya hidden in the heart of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Forged has launched into Hong Kong with The Aubrey. At one of Asia’s 50 Best Bars (# 10!), delight and indulge in Forged Parfait as it arrives in a shroud of sencha smoke and under a veil of chives.
And for a limited time, pair Forged Parfait with Senses — a fresh take on an old fashioned, fat-washed with Forged Gras to deliver a deep, rich flavour complemented by layers of herbal notes and a touch of nuttiness from the Amontillado sherry.
TLDR; So there we have it. We are in our second market, Hong Kong. Our second product, Forged Gras, pays homage to the classic — a richly satisfying fatty liver experience — but surprises with the deliberately different and subtle, clean, refined flavours of Japanese quail. And where else could we launch such a decadence, if not for The Aubrey's gilded halls at the Mandarin Oriental.

That's a wrap on the Square Peg Founder Summit 2024! We’re so grateful that so many of the founders in our portfolio community were able to join us for a few days of shared learning and connection.
Our goal for the Summit was for each of our founders to leave the Summit having forged at least one new connection with a fellow attendee and for them to walk away with an important idea, action or change they’re inspired to implement in 2025.
There were many memorable moments during our time together with this special group of people (and certainly more than we can list in a short post), but a few highlights on day two included:
- Duolingo co-founder and CEO Luis von Ahn shared the story behind how the company was founded, their mission to democratise learning, and how they build customer love through their product.
- San Francisco 49ers Punter Mitch Wishnowsky shared his experiences and tips for driving high performance, building resilience, and having a growth mindset. He also shared a few pointers on how to punt! 🏈
- Stanford University Psychologist Dr Alia Crum ran a workshop on how we can rethink our approach to stress to drive positive outcomes.
- And, of course, much of the magic was in the shared connections between our founders, whether it was in peer-to-peer group discussions or hearing from some of the founders in our portfolio currently building in #AI, including Lorikeet’s Steve Hind, Aidoc's Elad Walach, Elefant AI's Jonathan Hunt and MindOS's Felix Tao.
It was an inspiring few days with an incredible group of founders! We can't wait to gather this amazing group together again for the next Summit!
