Fantastic to be back onsite with some medical specialists recently, facilitating the recording of "plain speaking" educational content for patients. This is part of a digital patient experience supporting the specialists' consultations, aimed at helping patients understand their condition, make informed decisions about their treatment options, and become more empowered in their care. The complexity of health and medicine can be overwhelming, and the expertise of health professionals often vastly surpasses the basic understanding in our community - sometimes what you think might be a 'simple' explanation actually requires a lot of assumed background knowledge. By acting as facilitators, we question, clarify, and simplify complex topics, to ensure the educational content is both accessible and clear to as many patients as possible.
