Upgrades to the Mowbray Park ferry terminal are now complete and the terminal has reopened! The works have delivered a larger, more accessible terminal, designed to support the future growth of the ferry network. The accessible design including an upgraded passenger set down area and new access paths ensures passengers of all ages and abilities can comfortably use the terminal. Residents can also now enjoy direct CityCat access from Mowbray Park to Howard Smith Wharves for the first time since the entertainment hotspot was added to the CityCat route earlier this year. Gaia – Kangaroo Point is adding around $110 million in value to Brisbane’s economy – and delivering an estimated 695 direct and indirect jobs over the next two and a half years of construction. As the Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie said at our official sod turn last week: “This is a really vital project across Queensland. Queensland is in a housing crisis and we need supply, supply, supply. With an end value of $620 million, Gaia brings the total value of our projects under construction to circa $1 billion, a testament to our commitment to Brisbane as we deliver hundreds of jobs and boost the economy.
