📰 Parking Australia welcomes the appointment of Jaclyn Symes as Victoria’s new Treasurer, as announced by Premier Allan. We extend our congratulations to Treasurer Symes and wish her well in this important role. We also note the Victorian Government’s announcement on 13 December regarding adjustments to the congestion levy including an increase from 2026 in rates of 79% as it currently stands, and an expansion of the levy’s boundaries. "It’s the Brownlow medal for parking!" - says City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas in the The West Australian today (we like that, Lord Mayor!) on the City of Perth's win in this week's Parking Industry Awards. "This week the City of Perth was named Parking Organisation of the Year at the Parking Industry Awards held in Melbourne. It’s the Brownlow medal for parking! Our team was recognised for the recent on-street technology transformation and business improvement project which makes parking in the city more accessible and more affordable." Lord Mayor Zempilas. We congratulate all the winners and thank City of Perth colleagues Michael Gunson and Steve Holden for joining us to accept the award.
