𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 💠 Talking to Executive Leaders every day I realised that there was a real lack of opportunities for senior executives to invest in their own personal development. The move from functional leader to CEO is a significant step and many leaders are not prepared for the broader focus and additional responsibility. 💠 The requirements are greater than ever before and many leaders are unprepared and overwhelmed. There are many great networking opportunities for CEOs but nothing that gives their direct reports a chance to connect with peers at their level and provide the development they need to prepare for their next step. 💠 Obsidian Leaders was created to fill this need - a structured development program bringing high performing functional leaders together to invest in their own development, addressing the critical competencies required of a business leader, guided through the journey by a highly experienced CEO who mentors and shares his experiences and learnings. About us
The Obsidian Leaders Program brings together senior executives in a forum focused on leadership growth to drive development in key areas. The program is facilitated by a highly experienced business leader who guides the group through a series of workshops where they learn, challenge and grow together – supporting one another in an honest and robust forum. HOW DOES IT WORK? The Obsidian Leaders meet ten times per year for a half day session with a focus on a key topic at each meeting. Each session is driven by one of our highly experienced Mentors along with a member of the Obsidian Leaders executive team. Online and phone support is available to members between sessions. Meetings are held in person with a maximum of 12 members in each group – members will come from similar sized businesses and similar levels of experience across functional responsibilities to form a group that is focused on shared learning and problem solving in a highly trusting, non-threatening environment. The program also includes two one-on-one sessions with a focus on personal development planning.

I was chatting with some friends over the weekend around some of the work we had done this year in leadership development and had cause to reflect on the best TV series ever made, Ted Lasso!! If you haven't seen it you MUST watch with a leadership learnings perspective. I thought I would share 5 Leadership Learnings from Ted, one each day this week! 1. KNOW YOUR PURPOSE - Ted's purpose wasn't just winning games - it was helping his players become the best version of themselves. As leaders, its about developing people, not just chasing results

We have all heard how much the world has changed and its true!! This has impacted essential Leadership skills needed to lead teams in uncertain economc times and the ever present hybrid work environment. There is insufficient focus from business leaders on developing their senior team, and functional leaders on their own personal development! This is a great summary of where to begin, your next call should be to Obsidian Leaders
