  • For this year's International Day of People with Disability, our Associate Commissioner Natalie Wade has shared her thoughts on why we must amplify the leadership of people with disability for an inclusive and sustainable future.   Natalie says, "The NDIS Commission, as the regulator for disability supports and services, plays an important role in ensuring the protection, promotion and advancement of the rights of people with disability. Commissioner Glanville and I are deeply committed to ensuring that we amplify the leadership of people with disability at the Commission to ensure that we, as a Commission, continue to be led by the voice and experience of people with disability."   #IDPwD #IDPwD2024 #NDISCommission

  • The NDIS Code of Conduct is the set of rules that underpin the delivery of NDIS supports and services. It outlines how registered and unregistered providers and workers need to respect and uphold the rights of people with disability to access safe and ethical supports and services. Today we're launching a new animated explainer video about the Code of Conduct to help everyone understand these important rules. The video explains the Code of Conduct in clear and simple language and is provided in English as well as 10 other languages, including Auslan. Watch the English version below or visit our website to watch any of the translations. You can learn more about your obligations under the Code of Conduct at https://bit.ly/49j1bTi.

NDIS participants should be wary of fraud if they experience any of the following: ⚠️ Your plan funds are being used up faster than you thought, and you don’t know why ⚠️ You have paid for a product or service you never got ⚠️ A worker pretends to be you to change your plan, so they can take more money ⚠️ A provider or worker has pressured you to share secret information, like a password or PIN ⚠️ A provider has high staff turnover or has changed owners or business names, and you don’t know why it happened. You can report suspected fraud to the NDIS Commission. Visit our website for more information https://bit.ly/3UVW2ec.
