The Australian Bureau of Statistics estimates that around $1 billion of unwanted Christmas gifts in Australia will end up in landfill this year. So if you're still holiday shopping and want to give something special – why not make a donation in someone's name? It's the perfect way to create impact and support LGBTQIA+ youth, while giving a really great gift to a family member, colleague, or friend. And you don't have to stress about waiting for it to arrive before Christmas Day (anyone else constantly entering tracking numbers right now?) – you'll receive confirmation of your donation instantly. You could make a one-off donation, or even create a small monthly donation for every month of 2025, and gift a whole year of giving! All donations are tax-deductible. And you'll have our eternal gratitude for supporting LGBTQIA+ youth 🫶 Donate here: https://buff.ly/3z1Hphd 📸 Theresa Harrison

Is your allyship visible? Allyship is more than just words or intentions. It’s about taking action. It’s about visible, tangible and genuine support. Even the smallest gestures can make a big difference to LGBTQIA+ people, especially when creating safe and inclusive workplaces. So, is your allyship visible?

Our pals at Telstra Foundation have just released their Australian Youth Digital Index report! It's an annual report that amplifies youth voices and sharing the digital experiences of Australians aged 8 to 25. It shows a snapshot of digital usage, perceptions, attitudes and behaviours, and over time will highlight evolving trends. It's SO useful, and we highly recommend you check it out – particularly anyone that works with youth, or works in the tech space. Read more: https://buff.ly/4f01io5

Every single order that comes through the Minus18 online shop supports our work. But often, it's the individual orders that tell the best stories. An order of posters from a school, individual orders of pride – and recently, orders from proud parents, guardians or family members supporting the queer young person in their lives. To every adult out there educating themselves, being visible allies, and supporting their young people: we see you! Thank you for everything you do.
