  • This week, Deb will lead a "Moments of Truth" session. This will allow all new and not-so-new members to review and discuss what works well and what we could improve upon in our local club. This is a vital session that will help the new executive develop and formulate the next Club Success Plan. I encourage all members to attend and contribute in an honest, productive manner to ensure the next executive has the feedback and information to lead the club to a successful future. Guests are welcome. Toastmasters is more than public speaking. It's leadership, team work and reflection. Want to know more? Come to our next meeting. Tuesday 21st May. Madcota. 645 pm for a 7pm start. #leadershipskills #PublicSpeaking #toastmasters

  • This week, the Maryborough Toastmasters Club saw the return of two former members (Kim and Kellee) and a potential new member (Monica). They and the existing club members had the pleasure of watching Cody inducted as a new member by Deb (the current club President). Ken and Maxine presented speeches for the night and an educational session highlighting the leadership opportunities of holding a club officer position. Amy provided an excellent "warm-up," while Cody coordinated an entertaining "table topics" session, which incorporated the leadership theme. All attendees experienced an enjoyable evening. Want to know how you can improve your leadership and speaking skills? Come to our next meeting on Tuesday, May 7th, at 645 for a 7 p.m. start. MADCOTA.

  • Our meeting theme was "Easter" with an appropriate word of "resurrection". We were fortunate to have some returning TM members at the meeting (Norman, Phil and Amanda). The Toastmaster regailed the audience with anecdotes about the relationship between egg laying hares, equinoxes, full moons, pagan goddesses, chocolate bilbies and the Christian celebrations for Easter. (You had to be there!). Come along to our next enthralling meeting at MADCOTA on Tuesday 16th of April. We love visitors and guests.
