We're proud to be working on this with our colleagues at Eku Energy -- bringing clean, reliable power and new jobs to the nation's capital ⚡
Exciting news! Eku Energy and the ACT Government have officially broken ground on the 250MW/500MWh Williamsdale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), part of the #BigCanberraBattery project. This project will create 200 jobs during construction and support the ACT's net-zero goal by 2045. We are proud to partner with Tesla Energy and Consolidated Power Projects to deliver this project. Beyond clean energy, we are investing in research funding for The Australian National University and set up the A $500K Williamsdale BESS Community Grants program to support local initiatives in the communities that host Williamsdale BESS. To find out more, go to https://lnkd.in/e4k3Rcq8 The #WilliamsdaleBESS will drive tangible benefits for Canberrans and the energy transition. Together, we are paving the way for a sustainable, reliable and secure energy future for existing generations and those to come. Thank you to everyone who attended and a special thankyou to Aunty Violet from the Ngunnawal People to welcome us to country! #CleanEnergy #Partnerships #NetZero #ACTGov #Community #Benefits First image from left to right: Elias Saba, Chief Technology Officer Eku Energy Daniel Burrows, Chief Executive Officer Eku Energy ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr Suzanne Orr, Minister for Climate Change, Environment, Energy and Water Tom Best, Chief Operating Officer Eku Energy Second image from left to right: Elias Saba, Chief Technology Officer Eku Energy Suzanne Orr, Minister for Climate Change, Environment, Energy and Water Daniel Burrows, Chief Executive Officer Eku Energy ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr Tom Best, Chief Operating Officer Eku Energy
