During October, Integria has joined the nation in observing National Safe Work Month, a dedicated campaign aimed at promoting workplace health and safety across Australia. At Integria, this month is a reminder that safety is not just a priority; it's a core value that guides our everyday actions. A time to reflect on the importance of workplace safety and recognise that everyone plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. During National Safe Work Month, Integria will take on several initiatives including sharing helpful resources and tips, along with recognition of staff and their commitment to safety. Our teams also came together for a National Safe Work Month morning tea. This seminar series will demonstrate how we can utilise herbal medicine, nutrition, framing, mindset and other evidence-based strategies to support innate mood regulating mechanisms and empower patients to achieve more resilient mental and neurological health. Today, we honor Peter Purbrick, a cornerstone of Integria's procurement team, renowned for his deep-rooted expertise in herbal sourcing. His wealth of sourcing experience stems back to the humble beginnings of MediHerb in 1987, working closely with Kerry Bone as one of the four original team members that helped establish the global brand we know today. The small Mediherb team worked on a farm outside of Warwick, cultivating herbs such as Feverfew, African Marigold and Echinacea. They managed all business functions including tending crops, milling herbs, preparing percolators, hand bottling, labelling, and preparing orders for customers. Peter has grown with our business, from the early MediHerb days to who we are today and continued to play an important role at Integria as our Procurement Category Manager for Dry Herbs and Excipients. As Peter steps into retirement, we reflect on his 37 years with us with gratitude and admiration. His dedication has left a lasting imprint on Integria and the herbal community. On Fridays, the Warwick team at our manufacturing site proudly wear their TradeMutt shirts, symbolising solidarity with the message ‘You'll Never Walk Alone’. This month, Integria has been stepping up to the challenge, literally! Our annual 10,000 Step Challenge saw over 60 staff members form seven dynamic teams, including the GinkGoers and the victorious DeFEETers, who led the pack with an astounding 3.5 million steps. Together, we've taken over 22 million steps towards a healthier lifestyle. It's not just about the numbers; it's about the commitment to wellness and the joy of sharing this journey with our colleagues and their four-legged friends.
