What a jam packed 2 days at the WOBI World Business Forum this week. Being surrounded by business leaders and Founders from Australia and NZ - it was the place to be. Thanks Erik Van Ryssen, Hamish Williams and Jo Stamp GAICD for keeping me company. So how to sum up (without using AI) 2 days of business and leadership learnings from some of the greats/GOATs: 👉 Gary Hamel - Bureaucracy is dead and to run a successful business for this future world we need to encourage intrapreneurship, encourage team members to think like a CEO and ensure innovation is baked into the business ways of working. 👉 Dr. Radhika Dirks - "The value of 80% of our skills has just dropped to 0%. You need to recalibrate and figure out how to 10X the 20%". What is your AI strategy? How are you encouraging play, experimentation and empowering team members to enhance their productivity and creativity in a safe environment? 👉Dr. Marcus Collins - you had me at ethnography! The McDonalds case study of deep diving into what it means to be a McDonalds fan with a roadtrip to actually 'talk in person' to customers and use those deep insights to build a unique, award winning campaign with tangible impacts to the bottom line - powerful! 👉Cathy Freeman debunking the Imposter Syndrome myth - 'why would I have Imposter Syndrome if I've done all the training, I am mentally and physically prepared and I have already beaten these women before.'
