🥪1400 sandwiches in under an hour! That is the amount our amazing IGO team members were able to assemble for students across Perth with Eat Up Australia at our recent volunteer day. Eat Up is Australia's only organisation that provides free lunches for students on a national scale – making and delivering thousands of sandwiches and snacks to schools for the one in five Australian children experiencing hunger. IGO Manager Training and Compliance, Angela S. was pleased to do her bit to make a difference to those who would otherwise go without lunch. “Volunteering for the first time with this incredible charity was a humbling experience. While we may not solve the entire problem, I’m grateful to contribute to the solution. It’s a reminder of how small acts can make a meaningful difference, and I feel lucky to have been part of such a worthwhile cause,” Angela said. IGO partners with local organisations to host multiple volunteer days each year, giving our people the opportunity to live our purpose and make a difference. #makingadifference #bebettertogether #volunteering

IGO has joined forces with Fibre Economy, a social enterprise combatting textile waste by finding new life for unwanted workwear🦺. Fibre Economy has a partnership with Good Sammy Enterprises who de-brand and redistribute, repurpose or recycle the clothing, fostering employment opportunities for people with disability. Family and friends of our employees recently touched down at our Nova Operation on Ngadju Country for a firsthand glimpse into life on site. From enjoying a meal in the mess, attending a prestart meeting and touring our operation, to face painting and pickleball, families had an action-packed day, with a surprise visit from a family of the feathered kind - an emu and its nine chicks! Family Day is always a highlight at IGO, helping keep loved ones connected with their family members by providing real insight into their lives away from home. #runthroughthesprinklers #bebettertogether

Congratulations to our Exploration team! Exploration has been a core capability of IGO for many years and we are proud of our talent in this area.
Congratulations to IGO Ltd for being awarded Discovery of the Year for the Dogleg nickel-copper-cobalt prospect. In 2023, IGO’s exploration team uncovered high-grade nickel-copper-cobalt mineralisation at Dogleg while targeting ‘Nova-style’ magmatic nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation in the Proterozoic belt of the west Kimberley region. The assay results of the first Dogleg drillhole showcased high-grade massive sulphides within a broader zone of low-to-moderate grade mineralisation. The drillhole’s deposit style is extremely rare in Australia. The new discovery could lead to multiple new nickel mines in the region, making them important feedstocks for Australia’s downstream nickel ambitions. #australianmining #2024prospectawards

The inaugural cohort of IGO employees attended our first Whadjuk Noongar Cross Cultural Course, held at our South Perth Office, gaining a deeper insight into the rich cultural heritage accumulated over thousands of generations by the Whadjuk Noongar people. This course is based on the framework of the Ngadju Cross Cultural Course, held at our Nova Operation, and we extend our thanks to CSD Network and Kambarang Services for their invaluable contributions, knowledge, and personal stories that have contributed to both the training manual and course. The cover of the manual also features an original artwork titled ‘The River of Life’ by Hellen Walley-Stack, which is also displayed in our South Perth Office. As part of IGO's dedication to the ongoing journey of reconciliation and through our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), we are proud to offer such meaningful and engaging training, allowing our employees to deepen their understanding of the lands in which we live and work, and to explore how we can all contribute to reconciliation.
